i'm indo you like winning?
i love winning.
so.
on april 13th we are going to have 6069 people young and old walking and running at our bigmoose ultra fun run.
distances from 5k to ultramarathons in bute park, cardiff or remotely, one to represent every person in england and wales who took their life by suicide in 2023.
what a horrible number, i’m sure you’ll agree?
but together we can work to reduce this number, together we can make a difference, and save lives.
how, if i can’t get to cardiff i hear you ask.
or “hur” if you are one of the blog’s swedish readers.
or “wie” if you are one of our german readers.
we have readers across the world and whilst a small readership of only 1272, we have bigmoose chums in the united states, canada, new zealand, greece, etc, and you are all very loyal, and support in many ways.
so i am going to ask you to help me again.
to support me personally, which duly helps bigmoose and the people we serve.
let me explain how.
last year we stimulated interest in signing up for this event by introducing a team trophy, which encouraged competition between groups such as ’she runs cardiff’ and ‘albany road run club’ with the girls from ’she runs’ eventually winning the coveted trophy.
this year i want that trophy.
this year ‘jeff’s blog’ can win its first award.
but i need your help.
hur?
wie?
by signing up to walk or run remotely.
wherever you are in the world, you can be part of a movement that stimulates interest in bigmoose worldwide, and possibly encourages one person to reach out for help, and maybe even save someone from suicide, how amazing would that be?
so, here is the link, it’s very easy to sign up, just look for the team button, and click “jeff’s blog team” and if you do it today we can take the lead today, and show how the power of community can move the needle.
6069 people are no longer with us, let’s change that number, and let’s change the story.
take part solo, with friends, with family, but take part.
last year louise from new zealand got a team of friends who took part, and it stimulated conversations about mental health, and her group still meet for hikes, getting their blues and greens, which is beautiful to hear about, so this year join us on april 13th, wherever you are in the world.
sign up here.
let’s win this trophy.
thank you.
blue skies,
jeff
