in 2023, 6,069 people in england and wales died by suicide.

We need to take action to stop this figure from growing.

bigmoose are a mental health charity providing fast and accessible therapy to people who are struggling.

We’re working tirelessly to help save and change lives every single day.

Our ultra fun run event is a chance for you to make a stand for mental health.

We need 6,069 people to join us at the ultra fun run to represent each one of these lost lives, raise awareness and start the conversation about mental health.

run for change

together we can make a difference, together we can spread the message that hope is out there, and together we can save lives.

beyond just a run

picture an army of spotty tees running around the stunning bute park, with everyone uniting through their own personal achievements and starting conversations on mental health. of course, a legendary bigmoose atmosphere is guaranteed. at the finish line, we will have an amazing event village with local traders and stalls, including plenty of food and drink!

everyone is welcome, and we are proud to share that the ultra fun run has been accredited by she races for actively committing to gender equality, following their guidelines in our event planning. this includes:

  • inclusive and sufficient toilet facilities, all stocked with sanitary products
  • a no-tolerance policy for harassment of any kind
  • actively seeking feedback from participants and making our best efforts to improve the experience every year
  • allowing women who fall pregnant before the event to defer their entry to a future event

at last year’s event, we had 1,000 incredible people join us. We had people make friends on the day and support each other around the course. Together we raised £50,000 for mental health, to provide immediate intervention for people struggling.

how can i save lives?

as a charity we fully-fund therapy for individuals who are struggling, removing cost barriers for people who may not be able to afford it. however this means we do rely on fundraising from kind individuals like you to make sure we are there to help everyone.

fundraising is optional for this event, but every penny raised goes towards vital mental health support. raising £100 will fully fund a therapy session for someone struggling.
