good morning friend,
are we friends?
have we met?
does it matter?
i class you as a friend.
a blog friend.
you turn up weekly, except when your out of office politely tells me you’re on leave.
you read, and you sometimes message me, talking about how the blog resonated, but you always read.
so i class you as a friend.
a slightly unusual relationship, not traditional in many ways, limited two way communication, but this is a blog, that’s how they work.
but don’t ever underestimate how i value you, even if we’ve never met i value you consistently opening this blog, it means a lot.
so thank you.
so, this week i would class as a great week at bigmoose, we have secured some three year relationships with fundraisers, which is brilliant, because it means we have a longer term relationship, and can plan better, so that is fantastic.
a personal friend, who i can’t divulge too much about, has set up his just giving page this week, and in four days has raised over £17,000, an absolutely crazy amount of money, which will pay for so much great work to be done by our therapists.
i also had a conversation with a friend who has inherited a sizeable five figure sum, and wants to donate it to bigmoose, because they know the value of our work, and when they told me about their wishes i got quite emotional, mainly because they trusted us so much to use their money for good, but also at the amazing selflessness they showed by not wanting to keep the money, true philanthropy, and even as i write this i am blown away by their kindness, and i have promised to make them proud with the work we will do on their behalf, which i can’t wait to do.
they are some of the financial highlights of the past 7 days, but the big headline for me is another testimonial from someone telling us that their therapist “has saved their life.”
i hope you’ll agree a mind blowingly brilliant week, and when moosey boy passed, we could never have dreamed that we could have built something so huge in power, something that draws people to donate their inheritance, that inspires you to fundraise, that every week saves someone from ending their life.
frick i’m proud.
so proud.
of you for your support.
of our team, chloe, josie, alex, lou and el.
of our therapists.
and every person that believes in what we do.
thank you, on behalf of every life we’ve saved.
but we ain’t stopping, we have more to do.
so if you want to do more, know more, just message me, we need an army, bigmoose needs you.
and if you have a spare five minutes, we have just finished our impact report, so please have a read, it’s full of warm fuzzy feelings.
