whether you want to do 1 or 10, there are no limits. as you set off in the afternoon you will get to experience the incredible buzz of climbing alongside hundreds of other bigmoose climbers, taking in the amazing views and the atmosphere from our team at base camp. experience the incredible views as you watch the sun set over the striking landscape. climb through the night for an experience like no other, battling the elements and your own capability.

push yourself to your limits, feel the victory at mountain top and let the adrenaline take over. you can do as many or as little climbs as you want. you can climb alone or get a team together. no matter how you face the challenge, you will be in for an experience of a lifetime.

how your fundraising can help

we want to make it as accessible as possible for everyone to be able to take part, so we have made fundraising optional for this event.

however, we would like to take the opportunity to tell you a little more about the impact your money will have, should you decide to fundraise.

we are a mental health charity providing therapy which is saving and changing lives. every day we are receiving referrals from people who are struggling. we provide them with hope and help, which is effective and timely. we respond to every referral within 24 hours, and on average you will be seen by a therapist within a week. the current waiting list for this kind of mental health support in mainstream systems is 36 weeks in wales alone.

we are giving people hope, and our therapy is changing lives for the better every single day. so far, we have had 49 people tell us that our intervention has saved their life. before they came to us, they were on a path to suicide and wouldn’t be here today without our support.

as a charity we fully-fund the therapy, removing cost barriers for people who may not be able to afford it. however this means we do rely on fundraising from kind individuals like you to make sure we are there to help everyone.

here are some answers to your questions
where is the event?

the event will start from the pont ar daf car park at pen y fan.

can under 18's take part?

to register for the event you need to be over the age of 18 however if you have a child or young person who would like to join you for some of the climbs they are welcome to do so. under 18’s won’t be formally registered, and their supervision will be the responsibility of the accompanying adult.

what are the timings of the event?

the event will start at 5pm on saturday 14th september, and will continue until 5pm on sunday 15th september. you are welcome to arrive from 3pm to familiarise yourself with the surroundings and register with us. please be ready for the pre event talk at 4.30pm.

what facilities are available?

there are public toilets in the car park but these do not have showers.

can i sleep during the event?

this is your event and how you choose to take part is up to you. you are welcome to continue for the full 24 hours or you can take breaks throughout.

if you choose to leave site and pop home etc please let one of the bigmoose team know before you leave so we know you are safe.

is there parking?

there is parking but it is limited, we would recommend car sharing where possible.

will there be a bag drop?

we will have a small area for dropping bags but where possible we would encourage you to keep these in your car. all bags are left at your own risk.

how many climbs do i have to do?

there is no minimum or maximum number of climbs, we are encouraging everyone to take on this challenge individually. whether you aim for 1 climb, 5, 10 or push to beat the current record of 14, anything goes. we will have a medical team on hand throughout the whole event to keep everyone safe.

will there be food and drink?

we will have a limited water supply for you to refill your bottles but please do not rely on this, please bring your own supplies to keep yourself hydrated.

you will be given a climbing pass that we will stamp at the top and bottom of the mountain.
