earth runs have made the medals for this year's bigmoose ultra fun run. the medals are made from recycled paper and card. Originally made during lockdown in their kitchen from their kids homeschooling work. they tested a lot! Now, each batch is different depending on the paper they get to recycle. They are mulched, mixed and pressed into shape by hand.
no two medals are the same, just like people.
when you plant them, wildflowers will grow, all different, all beautiful, just like us.
we know that mental health is never one-size-fits-all, and that’s okay. the ultra fun run is about embracing differences, supporting each other, and showing that even the smallest acts, like planting a seed or joining a run, can grow into something incredible.
every medal handed out at the bigmoose ultra fun run is more than just a medal, it’s a symbol that you’ve helped someone who is struggling.

we’re super proud that the bigmoose ultra fun run isn’t just changing lives, it’s also doing good for the planet. from fully biodegradable medals (that grow wildflowers!) and planting a tree for every medal handed out, to reusable cups and eco-friendly sanitary products — we’ve tried to make every little detail kinder to the environment. we’ve swapped paper packs for digital ones, encouraged car sharing, cycling, and public transport, and we’ll keep learning and improving. because saving lives and looking after the planet? that’s a combo we’re fully here for. we're all leaving the world better than we found it.
