good morning bigmoose chums,

how has your week been, great i hope?

mine has been a nine plus out of ten, starting with a day off work, spent on the beach with betty, otto and my three girls, celebrating otto’s first birthday, a day i couldn’t have designed better, the sun shone, in the sky and in my heart, that was thursday.

monday and tuesday chloe and i did two talks for two companies called euroclad a commercial manufacturer of steel cladding products, and eversheds sutherland, a global law firm.

the euroclad meeting was heavily male biased, probably indicative of their industry, and a great opportunity for us to break down some of the stigma attached to reaching out for help by men, and the first time we had done a talk together where we addressed the issues around our health, and the closure of the coffee shop, all sensitive very personal matters, but important parts of the story, and i felt they were received really well.

i’m a big fan of sharing the lows as well as the highs, i think it shows vulnerability and allows people to connect more, and not think it’s just a highlights reel.

the second talk had a gender reversal in percentages, and the huge glass walled corner office was beautiful, with brown leather chairs, two huge 80” screens behind us to present our new slide deck on, and the view of cardiff was illuminated by the last day of winters sunshine.

this was our second talk in as many days with our new story, and it started to flow better, with both of us ad libbing as our confidence grew, and there was laughter and there were tears, great signs that a talk has connected with its audience, and the fact that we were there to pitch for their charity of the year status, hopefully were good signs.

parkies, whilst ever present, didn’t stop me on my mission, and where i spoke to the legal throng about using it as my superpower, i saw a linkedin post last night from somebody in the room referencing how it had resonated, which made me smile.

another highlight of my week has been the sale of our ultra fun run tickets, with us reaching 5222 already, and only 847 left to sell out.

let’s just take a minute to think about this, five thousand, two hundred and twenty two people so far have made a decision to join us on april 13th, either in bute park, or somewhere on our planet, how amazingly crazy is that?

it really is quite humbling.

and if you want to join in, you can click here, we’d love you on the team.

sales pitch over.

the last part of my blog this week is a story about two lovely young people called phoebe and sam, who are my mate wellsie, he of high/low hotel sprinkler system infamy, and recent deep sea sponsored dive fames, children.

they all ran last years ultra fun run, and on wednesday signed up to run again, but this year the dynamic duo are going to fundraise, as they are aware that every £100 raised pays for a therapy session.

so, we are setting up a fundraising page aiming for £100, and we are having a meeting next wednesday to discuss our strategy, how cool, watch this space.

to finish this week, i have just gone down to put the rubbish out, and met betty, emerging from her room on the way.

i whispered to her “ let’s go and wake nana” to which she smiled. and obliged.

the smile on both their faces was literally priceless.

life is good.

blue skies,

jeff
